You need a safe space, we are building it.
What's the point of creating a new community for artists that does not protect them, by keeping the site open for "legit" scraping? Or even without basic bruteforce protections? We know how fundamental Safety is for artists and their creations. That's why we are devoting a lot of our energy to shield everything, even in this early stage.
Reliable, Fast & Safe Data Cloud
When you upload your pictures online, do you know where they are stored? We do. And we care a lot.
We are making sure ArtGuilds’ data cloud is safely encrypted, with 99.999999999% reliability over time (11 nines of data durability), speed and redundancy.
All while staying away from the big actors of the web (Google, Amazon, Dropbox ) or bad players who can access user’s data to train their A.I. models.
Closed from Outside
You can’t really say you are protecting your Users if you let their artworks, images and content, open to external visitors.
It means it can easily be scraped from the outside, with a single bot or chrome plugin.
It means you do not really care about the community safety.
That’s why we choosed to keep it closed from the outside. This way only registered users can access guilder’s content: it breaks the “fair use” excuse big company uses to claim the legitimacy of their public scraping.
Blocking Crawlers and Bots from reaching your artworks
Blocking access from outside is a poweful deterrent, but bots with fake headers and bad intentions can still try to infiltrate.
That’s why we have set up an internal server firewall to detect and block bad bots and crawlers that want to get into the data repository of a website.
To make it possibile we use a variety of different techniques and blocks, to mitigate the risks and detect new threats
Total Control over you Account
We do not claim to own special rights your Data.
Your account and everything inside of it is still yours. That why we give full controll over how to manage and control it.
You can activate a two factor autentication for an extra level of security and you can monitor the IP addresses that were using you account, to always be sure you are the only one using it.
You can also always access all of your data, download it or even remove it totally from ArtGuilds itself.
